About Me

 I've been aero-modelling for forty-two years. I started with chuck gliders and simple rubber-powered kits then control-line and free-flight power. First radio-controlled model was a Veron Deacon with a DC Sabre and Futaba single channel radio with an Elmic rubber driven escapement. That one decided to fly away in a thermal on it's second flight - never to be seen again. (I did three paper rounds every week for the princely sum of £1.17p. to save for the gear.) That was in 1971 in the middle of my mock GCE's.

Joined the LADMAS Club in 1987 and never left. Became a BMFA examiner in 1997 and a LADMAS Committee member in 2007. Started the school in 2008.

 :D
